The AFS 2019 Annual Meeting is being held at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota in conjunction with the FPA® Annual Conference 2019 and overlaps on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.

Dr. Cora Pettipas
Senior Manager, Global Financial Planning
HSBC London

Dr. Cora Pettipas FCSI CIM CFP currently Senior Manager, Global Financial Planning with HSBC, and is focused on the regions of Europe and North America; and the Retirement initiatives. She is a highly accomplished Senior Executive, Thought Leader, and Entrepreneur with more than 15 years’ experience in the areas of financial services, communication, business development, wealth management, private investment, and Fintech. She was recognized by Wealth Professional magazine in 2016 and 2017 by being placed on the national industry top 50 ‘hot list’ for her efforts related to financial innovation in Canada. Cora has held leadership positions with National Exempt Market Association (NEMA), Melodic Twilight, and RBC Wealth Management. Cora is has previously consulted for an international education project in post-secondary e-learning, as well as for efficient advice delivery. Cora holds a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University, and a Master’s and PhD in Finance from Swiss Management Center University. She wrote a Dissertation on Fintech’s influence on financial planning internationally. Cora has served on the Directors of NEMA, and has represented Canada on the Education Working Group for the Financial Planners Standards Board, on the registrant committee for the OSC, and is a policy ambassador for the Financial Planners Standards Council. She has published and presented her work internationally.

Presenter Info Oral Session Presenters
  • Each presenter will have 25 minutes, including Q&A in a 50-minute session, or 30 minutes, including Q&A in a 60-minute session.
  • The order of the sessions is that "a" is first and "b" is second, which will be made clear when you look at the agenda. 
Poster Session Presenters
  • All posters will be displayed from 4:30-6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
  • Prepare your posters to take advantage of the full space provided to you on a poster board of 40 in high and 60 in long. You can use it horizontally or vertically. There is no template you must follow, but please include the AFS logo on your poster. Download logo HERE.
