The Academy of Financial Services is a global academic membership organization established in 1985, making 2025 our 40th anniversary. It is comprised of professors, students and financial planning practitioners focused on research and teaching standards in the profession of financial planning, and those interested in the role of research to improve professional standards. AFS publishes the B-indexed diamond open-access journal Financial Services Review which allows free access to researchers for submission and publication and to everyone for access to published research.

AFS announces the publication of the Financial Services Review special issue on FinTech. This special issue explores the evolving intersection of technology and financial services, featuring four timely and impactful studies:

Financial Services Review Announces a New Editor-in-Chief
We are delighted to announce that Dr Elisabeth Sinnewe has been appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the AFS's journal, the Financial Services Review.
Professor John Grable has stepped down after taking the helm in late 2023. In the past two years John has been responsible for taking Financial Services Review to new heights. It is will sincere gratitude that we thank John for his service.
